Sports Editorial: Freeletics session from start to finish.
Currently, my beloved Fujifilm 10-24mm F4.0 lens is currently at the Fujifilm workshop due to a manufacturing problem. That is not a problem per se. For paid assignments I can still get a rental lens from FotoMax in Nürnberg. Those guys do a fantastic job. (Nope, I’m not paid or sponsored to say that. Good service should always be recommended). Anyhow, due to the lacking lens, I could focus again on some other projects that did not require a short focal length.
Recently, I got to know @Schmiddla who is a Freeletics sportsman. Also I personally worked out quite a lot recently. I practically did everyday sports. From skating, over running, biking and swimming, to badminton and tennis. My current sports motivation combined with my new acquitances gave me the idea to enter a new area of photography: Sports editorial photography. And here’s my first shot in that genre. I documented his workout from start to beginning: Warm-up in a sweater, push-ups, running, taking a break and protein shake, as well as stretching and relaxing. Many thanks as well to this local sports club who gave us the permission beforehand to shoot there.
A funny side note though: They locked the gate, so we had to climb over the fence and to lift my bike over it as well. For me, as one of the shorter guys, that would have been a difficult matter, but Schmiddla is very tall, so he could easily help me out with that.
