Location Scouting
Before every shoot, I conduct thorough on-site location scouting. I analyze lighting conditions, architectural lines, seasonal surroundings, and staging potential. As an architectural photographer based in Stuttgart, I use tools such as PhotoPills to track the sun’s position throughout the day, ensuring each scene is captured in the best possible light. Careful preparation minimizes surprises and maximizes opportunities on production day.
Shooting day
On the day of the shoot, I combine natural light, mobile flash, and tethered shooting to capture each scene at the highest standard. Staging the scene

My name is Matthias Dengler, and I am an international commercial photographer based in Stuttgart, Germany. Through more than 17 years of dedication, I have built my career around one goal: becoming the best photographer I can be. My passion, persistence, and hard work have led me into a creative profession that combines luxury hotel photography, architectural imagery, and high-end retouching.
Beyond photography, I am an avid traveler and outdoor enthusiast, having visited more than 32 countries and explored landscapes ranging from alpine peaks to desert cities. I am also a passionate cyclist, runner, and festivalgoer – experiences that shape my creative perspective.
